The Toyota RC60 series (specifically the RC60 and RC61) is the 6-speed manual transmission designed to pair with the 1GD-FTV (2.8L) and 2GD-FTV (2.4L) Global Diesel engines. Commonly found in the Hilux and Fortuner, this gearbox was engineered to replace the older 5-speed units, providing better torque handling and improved fuel efficiency.
