The 1.6 Turbo “10FJ” (more commonly known by its PSA development code, EP6CDTM) is a member of the Prince engine family. This engine was a high-profile collaboration between BMW Group and PSA Peugeot Citroën, designed to replace the older Tritec engines with a more efficient, high-tech powertrain.
In the Mini world, it is often associated with the R56 LCI (facelift) Cooper S, while in French circles, it powers everything from the Peugeot 208 GTi to the Citroën DS3.

Twin-Scroll Tech: The 10FJ utilizes a twin-scroll turbocharger, which virtually eliminates turbo lag by separating exhaust pulses. This provides a very flat torque curve, making the car feel punchy from as low as 1,400 RPM.
Efficiency & Weight: Built with an all-aluminum block and head, it is incredibly light, which helps the handling characteristics of the small hatchbacks it usually sits in.
Performance Versatility: Because of the Valvetronic variable valve lift system, the engine is highly responsive and can be tuned for significant power gains without losing daily drivability.
You will find the 10FJ and its close siblings in:
Mini: Cooper S (R56), Clubman (R55), Countryman (R60).
Peugeot: 207, 208, 308, RCZ.
Citroën: C4, DS3, DS4.
